Swapo presidential candidate Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says a healthy labour force ensures productivity for the country.
Her remarks come at a time when Swapo secretary general Sophia Shaningwa defended her after she allegedly fainted during a rally at Otjiwarongo over the weekend.
“When we are not healthy we cannot be productive,” she said during a Swapo manifesto discussion in Windhoek on Monday.
She highlighted that business people would know how much is lost when staff members are absent from work due to illness.
“Hence, our focus on ensuring that we have a healthy nation,” she said
