Computers worth N$90 000 stolen from gender ministry in Kavango West

A man at Nkurenkuru was arrested in connection with the theft of four computers worth N$90 000 and other items from the gender ministry in the Kavango West region on Monday.

The 27-year-old man, alongside other suspects, allegedly broke into the office of the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare, and stole the computers.

Kavango West police regional chief inspector Raimberth Muronga said the suspects used an unknown object to break into the office via the windows.

“The stolen items include 12 connecting cables, four monitors, four central processing units, three keyboards, three mouses, three USB drives and two fans,” Muronga said.

He further said all the items have been recovered, excluding the USB drives.

Musronga said more arrests will be made as the investigation continues.
