Namibia Grape Company, Capespan, Standard Bank renew partnership

Namibia Grape Company (NGC) and Capespan officially signed a partnership with Standard Bank Namibia in Windhoek on Tuesday.

This renews their collaboration until 2045.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Erwin Tjipuka, the chief executive of Standard Bank Namibia, said: “Through this collaboration, the Namibian government, through the Namibian Grape Company, plays a pivotal role in uplifting local communities by creating jobs and bringing Namibian-grown grapes to the international market.

“This partnership highlights our commitment to fostering sustainable growth and proudly presents the positive impact we aspire to make across Namibia.”

The chairperson of NGC, Richwell Lukonga, said: “The partnership provided an opportunity to overcome NGC’s financial distress, reach a form of sustainability, and create much-needed employment, both permanent and seasonal.”

The NGC and Capespan say they are looking forward to more successful seasons, with both organisations committed to delivering high-quality Namibian grapes to global markets, creating lasting socio-economic benefits for Namibians.
