The Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF) has sent a delegation to South Africa to meet with its sister party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
This was confirmed by party deputy leader Kalimbo Iipumbu on Thursday.
“After our deregistration, our colleagues from South Africa were demoralised, they doubted we would participate in the upcoming election, so we decided to send some of our members to strengthen our ties,” he said.
The delegation is headed by party president Epafras Mukwiilongo and economic commissar Michael Amushelelo.
He said the two countries share the same socio-economic challenges.
“We share a common history of colonialism and apartheid, which is why both our peoples still face the same hardships, such as hunger, landlessness, joblessness, high unemployment, high crime,” Amushelelo said.
He said it is interesting that Namibia is ranked the second-most unequal society in the world, and South Africa is number one.
