All domestic football leagues will kick off at the end of November, the Namibia Football Association (NFA) announced on Tuesday.
With the exception of the top flight, which gets underway on 29 November, all other leagues residing under the NFA will “officially kick off on Saturday, 30th November 2024”, the national football governing body said in a statement.
The NFA also extended the registration period to 9 December. “The NFA calls upon all the clubs in the various leagues to do final preparations for the kickoff. By the same token we invite all football lovers to come in big numbers to support their local clubs,” said league director Mabos Vries.
“Football is a community sport, and the NFA invites all small and medium enterprises to flock to the various stadiums around the country to sell delicious food and beverages to increase economic growth and development,” said Vries.
