Some polling stations around the country need additional ballot papers as the turnout was more than expected.
This was confirmed by Electoral Commission of Namibia spokesperson De Wet Siluka on Wednesday afternoon.
“They got ballot papers from other polling stations,” he said.
The commission expected 8 000 special voters and set aside 8 800 ballot papers.
The Namibian Police, Namibian Correctional Service and Namibian Defence Force cast their votes countrywide, along with seafarers and Namibians abroad.
