Walvis teen takes own life

A Walvis Bay teenager (13) allegedly took his life on Monday.

Senior Erongo police inspector Judith Shomongula said Victory Amalovu’s cousin discovered his body in the household garage.

“They were only two in the house. His cousin said she left him at home cleaning the bathroom, before she left for work. When she came back at around 11h40, she did not see him and thought he went to play.

“She woke up at around 19h00 to switch on the geyser in the garage and discovered him . . .”

No suicide note was found, and Amalovu’s next of kin have been informed of the incident.

The teenager was in Grade 6.

Police investigations are ongoing.
