THE principal of Ondjadjaxwi Combined School in the Ohangwena Region, Tilde Ndafuda Hatupopi-Hangula (36) died a gruesome death after her Toyota bakkie was hit from behind by another pick up and subsequently left the road and collided with a tree on Saturday evening.
The accident happened on the Ondangwa-Oshikango main road Her bakkie caught fire upon impact with the tree and she was burnt alive inside her vehicle. Some villagers of Ohangwena village who arrived first on the scene told The Namibian, that they wanted to take her our but the flames were too overwhelming and prevented them from getting close to the bakkie. The Police, as well as the Helao Nafidi firefighters, only arrived when the bakkie had already burnt to ashes. Late Hatupopi-Hangula is survived by her husband and three children.
