Police hunt for suspects caught on video breaking into car at Wernhil

The police are searching for three suspects caught on video breaking into a parked vehicle at Wernhil mall.

Khomas police spokesperson Silas Shipandeni confirms that while the vehicle was damaged, the suspects failed to steal anything.

The video, which has been circulating on social media, shows the suspects forcefully gaining access to the car.

“The suspects attempted to break into the car, but fortunately, nothing was taken,” Shipandeni says.

Authorities are urging anyone with information that could help identify the individuals to come forward.

“We are cautioning the public, whenever they find themselves in the malls or wherever, when parking your vehicles, we need to really make sure that our vehicles are properly locked, and they are not jammed.

“We need to be vigilant in that regard,” he says.
