PRESIDENT Hage Geingob has appointed acting judges of the Supreme Court and High Court for 2022.
Judicial Service Commission secretary Sakeus Akweenda announced on Thursday that the president has, on recommendation of the commission, appointed judges Theo Frank, Hosea Angula, Christie Liebenberg and Shafimana Ueitele as acting appeal judges of the Supreme Court effective from the beginning of January to the end of the year.
“Acting or ad hoc judges are appointed from time to time to form a pool from which judges are selected to hear cases,” Akweenda noted.
Acting judge Kobus Miller has also been reappointed on the High Court bench, with effect from the start of February to the end of November this year, Akweenda announced.
