Moses van der Byl Primary School recently held their annual prize-giving ceremony, with parents and invited guests as the audience.
Academic achievement was the focus of the day, and pupils were presented with their certificates in the assembly area.
All grades were honoured for their outstanding performances, with special recognition shown to pupils who were sponsored by various stakeholders of the school.
Principal Clara Basson marked the occasion with special thanks to the parents and spoke on the value children bring to the future.
“Children brighten our futures, and we need to extract the hidden talents they contain,” she commented.
Basson highlighted how the pupils performed during the calendar year. “These pupils exhibited strong qualities that will help them in achieving their goals.”
The sponsors provided school bags packed with stationery, a wrapped gift and a trophy for each pupil. Cash prizes were awarded to two pupils who were the best performers in Khoekhoegowab and Afrikaans.
