Bank of Namibia honours Geingob’s with banknote

The late president Hage Geingob

The Bank of Namibia (BoN) has launched a commemorative banknote to celebrate late president Hage Geingob’s legacy.

This was announced by BoN governor Johannes !Gawaxab on Tuesday.

“The Hage Geingob commemorative banknote has been thoughtfully crafted to honour Geingob’s unwavering leadership and lifelong dedication to peace, inclusivity, and resilience.”

!Gawaxab said the banknote not only commemorates the late president’s remarkable achievements but also celebrates Namibia’s progress as a nation shaped by his visionary leadership.

It serves as a symbol of national pride, an educational tool for future generations, and as a lasting reminder of the values he so passionately upheld, he added.
