Bank Windhoek will once again host the annual Bank Windhoek Summer Festival this holiday season at the coast.
The summer festival is set to take place from tomorrow, 7 December, until 22 December.
As a sponsor, the bank has lined up entertainment and activities for every holiday-maker who plans on celebrating the festive season at the coast.
The 2018 Bank Windhoek Swakopmunder Musikwoche will take place tomorrow to 15 December at Swakopmund. The annual music event, presented at various locations in the coastal town, will be hosted under the patronage of the German Evangelic Lutheran Church’s Swakopmund community.
Music professionals from both national and international institutions have been invited to instruct and assist Namibian musicians. The event lasts for 10 days and includes a series of concerts. Concerts tickets are available at Namib High School between 09h00 and 12h00 every day for the duration of the event.
The concert dates are as follows: Tomorrow and Saturday, 8 December, is the registration and official opening. On Sunday, 9 December at 10h00, there will be a musical accompaniment of church service by lecturers at Lutheran Church, 9 Otavi Street, Swakopmund.
On Tuesday, 11 December, a lecture concert at the Hanjo Böhlke Aula at Namib High School will take place from 19h00. On Wednesday, 12 December from 16h00, an open air brass concert will take place at the Swakopmund Ampitheatre.
On Thursday, 13 December at 18h30, there will be a youth and ensemble concert at the Hanjo Böhlke Aula.

Teambuild Namibia and Bank Windhoek have also joined hands to host a holiday camp for children at Swakopmund from Monday, 17 December to Friday, 21 December.
The week-long gathering is scheduled to take place at various venues around Swakopmund. Participants will learn how to surf, sand board, snorkel and fish as well as study rock pools and learn essential survival skills. For more information, email Ian Daniel at ian@teambuildnamibia.com.
The Bank Windhoek Beach Volleyball Bash, designed to cater for professional players and young holiday-makers, will hype up the coast on Saturday, 22 December at Long Beach.
Teams with a maximum of six players can enter. The entry also allows participants access to the Beach Bash event which takes place at the same venue. Total prize money of N$21 000 is up for grabs.
