Beavis, Gardiner win pairs qualifier

Mike Beavis and Keith Gardiner won the fourth and final leg of the King Price International Pairs qualifier at the Windhoek Golf Club over the weekend.

Beavis and Gardiner won the competition with 46 points, followed by three other pairs on 44 points each.

Manfed Bledou and Toady Gurirab won the count-out to finish second, while Wessel Louw and Natasja Louw came third, and Suene Venter and Chantel Visser fourth.

The top four teams qualified for the regional final which will be played on 10 August at Omeya Golf Club where they will play against 10 other regional winners.  

The nearest-to-the-pin winners were Wessel Louw on the third hole, Clifford de Witt on the ninth hole, Antonio Gamito on the 13th hole and Manfred Bladou on the 17th hole. 

A total of 41 teams participated in the tournament, with ABInBev sponsoring the prizes.

The Sunday Social Golfers will host a competition at the Windhoek Golf Club this coming weekend.
