Local betting company Betzilla Namibia has expressed disappointment in their brand ambassador, musician David Shikalepo, known as Exit Rockaz.
This comes after Exit Rockaz’s recent media interaction, where he reacted angrily and used insults when questioned about his trip to Manchester, England.
“Betzilla Namibia is deeply disappointed by the recent headlines involving our brand ambassador, Exit Rockaz. As a company that values integrity and professionalism, we take such matters seriously,” the company says on its social media platforms.
The company adds that they are reviewing their partnership with the artist.
“We want to assure our partners, service providers, and valued customers that we are actively conducting an internal review of our commercial partnership with Exit Rockaz. Our commitment to maintaining trust and upholding the highest standards remains unwavering,” the statement continues.
When approached for comment, Exit Rockaz’s personal assistant, Lisa, declined to respond.
“I’ve decided not to comment on this matter at this time, as I believe it’s best to avoid further speculation,” she said.
Exit Rockaz last week lost his cool when asked for comment on two United Kingdom-based Namibian ‘shoplifters’, who also organised a show he headlined.
According to reports, two Namibian asylum seekers recently went on an alleged shoplifting expedition in the United Kingdom, stealing designer handbags.
The pair is also said to have been involved in organising a music event the artist headlined last year.
The Namibian last week approached the musician for comment on his ties to the alleged shoplifters.
His response was: “That is not my story, don’t ask me stupid questions. I went to perform and I did my work in Manchester.”
This was accompanied by various swear words before he abruptly ended the call.
In a second attempt to speak to Rockaz, he carried on cursing and hung up again.
“Fck you, voetsek! Julle se ps!” he said.
‘P**s’ is a vulgar Afrikaans term for
female genitalia.
