Body of five-month-old baby discovered

The body of a five-month-old baby was discovered by community members in a dustbin near the 6 000 Complex at Ondangwa on Friday.

According to the crime report released on Sunday, no arrest has been made yet.

In a separate incident on Saturday, the body of Petrus Nghikomenwa, a 31-year-old Namibian man, was found in Windhoek’s Hereford Street Rafrenz Industrial area by a passerby.

He was found with open stab wounds inflicted with a sharp unknown object on his upper ribs on both side.

According to the police, Nghikomenwa was found in a pool of blood fighting for his life and was later declared dead by City of Windhoek medics.

The police has not yet arrested anyone in connection with the incident.

A 34 year-old Angolan male from Onaayamba village’s body was found by a passerby on Saturday.

No foul play is suspected and no suicide note was left behind.

Another 56-year-old farm worker from Farm Omujeve Hunting Safar at Seeis allegedly took his own life on Friday.

According to the report from the police, no suicide note was left behind and no foul play is suspected.
