Botswana president Duma Boko celebrates historic inauguration of Namibia’s first woman president

BOTSWANA president Duma Boko says he is honoured to have witnessed the inauguration of Namibia’s first woman president, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Boko, who took over from president Eric Masisi, jetted in to Namibia for the occasion on Friday.

“Honoured to witness the inauguration of Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as the president of the Republic of Namibia here in Windhoek. This is a historic moment for Namibia and the region, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership, progress, and regional cooperation,” he said.

“Botswana remains committed to strengthening our diplomatic ties and working together for mutual growth and development. Congratulations to president Nandi-Ndaitwah and the people of Namibia,” he said.
