Celebrating Namibian diamonds

INSPIRED by Namibia’s crown jewel, Miss Namibia 2018 Selma Kamanya’s national costume – which was revealed on the pageant’s Facebook page this morning – is a celebration of the famous gemstone.

Designed by Cobus Muller, the dress features an intricately worked ‘wing’ that represents a diamond.

The ‘wing’ is attached to a bodysuit that is adorned with faux diamonds and the look is completed with a diamond headset resembling a crown.

Kamanya will wear the costume when she attends the 2018 Miss Universe pageant on 17 December 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
