THE Fine Art Gallery in Swakopmund will present an exquisite exhibition, which not only makes women’s hearts beat faster but promises to dazzle too.
Chris Snyman, known in Namibia as an artist and sculptor, will present his very first jewellery collection ‘Multi Facets’ which opens tomorrow at 18h30.
Snyman has more than 25 years of experience as a goldsmith. He draws inspiration for his jewellery designs from the material itself. The nature of the material provides the impetus that shapes the jewellery, creating a new unique piece, which provides exceptional impact in their obviousness.
He finds delight in experimenting with the different raw materials which he combines with unusual processing techniques. Palladium plays a main role in his creations where bronze hardness meets noble gentleness. The contrast of the rare silver-white palladium white gold, diamonds and precious stones always fascinates and is Snyman’s secret.
The calm and depth of palladium is used as the foundation to highlight the beauty and value of other materials. Palladium in itself is sublime elegance which is a long slumbered secret that the goldsmith rediscovered for its impressive designs.
Snyman forms metal in a modern, contemporary design, creating collectibles for tomorrow. This is definitely an exhibition not to be missed because the artist will also – in addition – exhibit his recent art and sculptors.
