The Oriege Festival, set to take place in Windhoek from 29 to 30 November, promises to be an unforgettable celebration of art, music and culture.
According to the organisers, the event will feature a diverse mix of local and international performers, resulting in a lively atmosphere that highlights Namibia’s rich creative talent.
Attractions for all ages are anticipated, with live music and dance performances, captivating art exhibitions and food stalls.
Festival organiser Chris Morgan told The Namibian this week the Oriege Festival has been the place to be since 2022, and they are aiming to stage an even better event this year.
“Returning audiences are already familiar with the energy we bring, and for those who have not yet experienced it, this is your opportunity to be a part of something extraordinary,” Morgan said.
This year’s event will be held at the Freedom Plaza open area, located directly between FNB and Nedbank in Windhoek’s city centre.
“The Oriege Festival is more than just entertainment, it is also a high-traffic marketplace where you can connect with thousands of interested attendees. Whether you have been with us before or are new to the Oriege scene, now is the time to secure your stall and showcase your brand in front of a large, enthusiastic crowd,” he said.
According to Morgan, the event has grown in popularity and attracted new corporate brands who want to engage with their audience.
“We always go above and beyond to work with environmental organisations that attend the event and educate the public about the importance of environmental awareness,” he said.
The organisers use artistic displays to spread the word, particularly in partnership with Coca-Cola, to recycle plastic waste into everyday tools. The idea is to show people that there is more that can be done with waste, he added.
Cowboii, a South African amapiano artist, has been invited to headline the event, which also includes a line-up of trending local artists.
Tickets are available through Webtickets or at any Pick n Pay location near you.
