Court rules in favour of Nanso

A DECISION by the National Youth Council’s Representative Council to suspend the Namibia National Students Organisation from its activities has been revoked by the High Court on Friday morning.

NYC suspended the student body last month as an affiliate, a move that was seen as a way to get rid of the new leaders at Nanso.

The decision was taken at an extra-ordinary Representative Council (RC) meeting of the NYC held in Nkurenkuru in Kavango West in June 2015.

Judge Shafimana Ueitele said NYC should not proceed with their decision to suspend Nanso and were ordered to pay the legal cost of the case.
