THEFT is just theft – so why can’t the GRN look at all types of stealing? I was so disappointed when I read about the punishment for those found guilty of stock theft.

They are talking of more than 20 years in jail. My concern is: Why only stock thieves? We have money missing every day in this country, millions of N$.How much is stock theft worth compared to millions that are missing in our government and parastatals? Poor people are stealing for survival while people who are getting fat salaries and plenty of benefits are stealing to make their lives a paradise, but no hard punishment for them.I’m urging our lawmakers to ensure hard punishment for those who are eating the public money, as they have done for stock thieves.Those millions could have done much to improve our living standards.Are we still determined to achieve Vision 2030?
