Crime briefs

A man allegedly raped his daughter (11) at Kuisebmond over the weekend.

According to the police, the man has allegedly been raping her since 2022.

The suspect’s whereabouts are unknown.

In another incident, a girl (13) in the Omusati region was raped several times.

The suspect also threatened to kill the girl if she screamed or reported the matter to anyone.

The suspect has not been arrested yet.

An 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped on her way to a wedding in the Oshikoto region.

The victim is said to be a person with an intellectual disability. The suspect has not been arrested yet, the police say.

In a separate incident a girl (16) was raped on her way home from a bar at Okahandja.

It is alleged that the suspect threatened the victim and said he would kill her if she screamed.

According to the crime report, the suspect is known to the complainant and is yet to be arrested.

STABBING INCIDENTS
Denise Haraseb (22) died after he was stabbed at Rehoboth over the weekend.

It is alleged that Haraseb was stabbed in the chest after an argument.

The suspect (23) was arrested and police investigations continue.

In a separate incident, Johannes Ndaitipo (25) was stabbed at Mondesa after an argument over gambling.

“While gambling an argument arose and the suspect drew a knife, and the bar owner intervened and separated them.

“The suspect put away the knife, but a few minutes later, an elderly woman went running to the bar and told the owners about the stabbing incident,” the report says.

The suspect fled the scene, but is well known, and police investigations continue.

A woman (40) from Okahao was killed after being stabbed in the neck over the weekend.

It is alleged that the suspect and the victim were lovers, but that the woman had ended the relationship.

The suspect has not been yet arrested yet.

Police investigations are ongoing.
