DAMS in the central areas of Namibia are continuing to fill up.
At 16h00 yesterday the Swakoppoort dam was 59 per cent full, while the Von Bach dam, near Okahandja, was at 43,8 per cent of its capacity. The Avis dam stood at 55,5 per cent and the Goreangab dam was overflowing at 103,6 per cent.The Oanob dam near Rehoboth was 73,7 per cent full yesterday afternoon.The Friedenau dam in the Khomas Hochland was up to 88,6 per cent full.The Otjivero silt dam near Gobabis was officially 115,7 per cent full, while the Otjivero main dam stood at 22,9 per cent of its full capacity.In the South, the Hardap dam was at 39,4 per cent of its capacity at 08h00 yesterday.The Naute dam was 74,7 per cent full.The Avis dam stood at 55,5 per cent and the Goreangab dam was overflowing at 103,6 per cent.
