Dee’A: A staple in Namibian gospel music

Dee’A

Leopold Vatilifa, affectionately known as Dee’A, is a talented gospel musician who has been making waves in the local music scene with his unique sound and powerful message.

Dee’A’s passion for music began at a young age and has grown into a successful career as a singer and songwriter. After releasing a ‘Evangeli’ last year, Dee’A has been constantly releasing new music.

His latest offering is titled ‘Endless Love’ and he told unWrap.online the song was birthed from a place of gratitude and appreciation.

“I can’t count how many times I’ve done things that aren’t pleasing to God, but He keeps loving me. He continues to show me grace,” Dee’A says.

On the song, he features Karl Schickerlingand – a young talent – he met in church.

“We both serve in the band. He’s a vocalist and I’m a drummer. I heard him sing once and I was like, yes, this talent I can push. Very humble and artistic,” Dee’A says.

Furthermore, Dee’A has released several albums and singles that have earned him a dedicated following locally and beyond the borders. His music is characterised by his soulful voice and uplifting lyrics that inspire listeners to find hope and strength in their faith.

Dee’A is a devout Christian and uses his platform to spread messages of love, peace and hope.

He says he will drop his next album in four months, and believes local gospel artists are doing their best with the resources at their disposal.

Dee’A has become a staple in Namibian gospel music and has captured the hearts of many. His music and message serve as a source of hope and encouragement to listeners, and he is an example of the power of faith and perseverance and is encouraging other creatives to be the best they can be.

“I urge all creatives to focus on loving more and being there for each other,” he says.
