Domestic worker accused of raping minor

An Angolan domestic worker in the Epembe constituency allegedly had sexual intercourse with a minor several times in April.

Police spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi said in the weekend crime report the suspect allegedly called the 14-year-old to his room, where he proceeded to have sexual intercourse with her during the day when her parents were not home.

No arrests have been made and police investigations continue.

Another minor (12) was raped in Oshakati West on Friday by his neighbour (34).

The suspect called the minor, who was playing with her friends, and told her that he would like to send her to the mini market.

He later attempted to give her money before he grabbed her and locked her in his room.

The suspect has been arrested and police investigations continue.

On Friday, a 31-year-old man attempted to rape a 27-year-old woman by threatening her with an Okapi knife at Uuyoka village.

The arrested suspect took N$1 043 from the victim.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, a 22-year-old suspect forcefully grabbed an 18-year-old victim behind the Lutheran Church at Khorixas before the victim was saved by a passerby who observed the incident and alerted the police.

The suspect has been arrested and police investigations continue.
