During 2015, I Penned an opinion letter titled ‘Big Brother America’.
My reason for that particular letter was to express my discontent with and resentment of United States (US) president Donald Trump for calling Africa a “sh*thole country”.
The man seems to believe the world revolves around him.
Trump has been at it again, making comments and even suspending much-needed aid to African countries, among others.
It is very unfortunate that American people will again be led by a president whose image and integrity is marred by scandal.
A man who puts profit before everything else and in doing so uses slogans like ‘America First’ and ‘Make America Great Again’.
To me, these slogans simply mean white-monopoly capital first and let’s regress to bygone eras.
Trump’s suspension of aid to South Africa over what he describes as that country’s illegal seizure of land belonging to white people is an early April fool’s joke.
Trump is aware that even the land on which America’s capitalism is thriving at some point in history belonged to native American Indians.
And by the way, in what capacity will the white South Africans (Afrikaners) whom he is inviting to his country be going there? Perhaps as asylum seekers, refugees or tourists?
Democrats and genuine diplomats must start telling Trump that Africa is a continent as opposed to a country, and that this continent is working around the clock to fully reach Agenda 2063.
World citizens like Trump must continuously be reminded that just because the West came to Africa with the gun in the right hand and the Bible in the left, does not mean that they are the alpha and omega.
