Thomas Hifaanye (31) was handed down a double life sentence in the Oshakati High Court for murdering two children, and assaulting and raping his grandmother in 2019 at Okafitu Kakatanyange village at Outapi in the Omusati region.
Hifaanye committed the act where the two children were sleeping with their grandmother (78).
He was arrested on the same day and charged with double murder, housebreaking with the intent to rob and robbery, and rape.
The matter was heard in the Oshakati High Court, where he was convicted and sentenced on Wednesday.
