Eenhana stadium almost done

The Eenhana Sport Stadium, which has been under construction since 2019, is nearly complete.

This was announced by regional governor Sebastian Ndeitunga during his state of the region address at Eenhana on Wednesday.

“It is regrettable that the prolonged construction of the Eenhana Sport Stadium is hindering much-needed sport activities and limiting opportunities for our youth. It is, however, encouraging to know that phase 5 of the stadium is currently under construction, with an allocated budget of N$20 million for the reporting period,” he said.

Ndeitunga said it is important that more effort should be made and financial resources allocated to fast-track the stadium’s construction.

Similarly, the Ondangwa Sport Stadium is currently in the second phase of construction.

This stage of the process, which started two months ago, includes the construction of a boundary wall, ticket booth and drainage system.

The Ondangwa Town Council has committed a total of N$60 million towards the project.

The stadium is expected to be completed in the next five years at a cost of approximately N$240 million.
