FUSION artist and entrepreneur EES, also known as Eric Sell, recently announced his ‘Good Vibes Only’ tour for his upcoming 15th studio album.
The album will be available online from 1 September worldwide, while the tour takes place from 22 September to 2 October.
EES said it is his second big tour with his full band through Germany, after the previous tour in 2021 for his album ‘Game Changer’.
The team will be touring eight German cities: Hamburg, Leipzig, Hannover, Dortmund, Münich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Cologne.
“The idea for the tour is inspired by working together with my booking agency in Germany Meistersinger Konzerte GmbH. They really like my authentic sound and want to push it more and helped me to organise this big tour. The aim is definitely to reach more people with the sound I do and to show that my sound is to be taken seriously – making the effort in reaching out to these major cities to play live,” he said.
EES said it is important to bring live music back to the people.
“Live music is one the greatest feelings to experience and in the world of social media and Netflix video streaming, people forget about this emotional sensation.
EES said he will perform with his full band of seven people on stage and a technician who has been mixing sound for over 12 years.
“This will be the biggest tour so far. I will be playing about 27 songs of mine. Many of the songs will be new. I will perform about 10 songs off the new album and the rest will be hits like ‘When We Unite’, ‘Sundowner’ and ‘Your Sister’.”
EES said the energy on tour with the full band is just another vibe.
“The last tour was a total success. Even though it was in the verge of another variant of corona and many people in the crowd wore masks, it was an amazing experience with my band. The first tour opened my eyes to how I now make and produce music,” he said.
Finances are one of the biggest challenges of touring, he said.
“This is extremely difficult, because these types of tours almost never make financial sense, because the expenses are very high, unless you completely sell out big venues, it’s almost not possible to make these tours without a sponsor.
“Luckily, the charcoal brand, Nambuko, is sponsoring the second tour of mine again, and makes this tour possible,” he said.
