Election campaigns come to an end this weekend, paving the way for voters to deliver their verdict at polling booths and ballot boxes on 27 November.
Unfortunately, we have seen several incidents of rogue violence involving some political parties attempting to deny their competitors room to convince the electorate.
We hope that those incidents remain isolated and that the actual voting, as well as the results, will proceed without anti-democratic actions.
Namibia has largely been a peaceful country. May that spirit continue through the voting and results processes, as well as the swearing-in of a new leadership.
