Elton, Hillary, one night only!

NEW YORK – Elton John is to give a solo fundraising concert in New York next month for Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, under the unlikely billing ‘Elton and Hillary: One Night Only’.

The April 9 concert at Manhattan’s pre-war Radio City Music Hall will be the British pop icon’s first public solo concert in New York City without his band since he performed alone at Madison Square Garden in 2000. “I’m not a politician but I believe in the work that Hillary Clinton does,” John said in a statement announcing the fundraiser.”I’m excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night.”Tickets for the fundraiser start at 125 dollars.Clinton’s celebrity supporters include Hollywood icon Jack Nicholson, basketball legend Magic Johnson and 50 Cent, while Obama has support from chat-show queen Oprah Winfrey and Oscar-winning actors Robert De Niro and Forest Whitaker.Nampa-AFP”I’m not a politician but I believe in the work that Hillary Clinton does,” John said in a statement announcing the fundraiser.”I’m excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night.”Tickets for the fundraiser start at 125 dollars.Clinton’s celebrity supporters include Hollywood icon Jack Nicholson, basketball legend Magic Johnson and 50 Cent, while Obama has support from chat-show queen Oprah Winfrey and Oscar-winning actors Robert De Niro and Forest Whitaker.Nampa-AFP
