The board made the appeal on Tuesday, saying cattle that no longer exist still appear on some farms’ herd statements, alternatively “there are animals on farms that do not appear on herd statements”.
Producers who do not have access to Namlits online are requested to submit their latest contact details, updated herd list, updated herd numbers, as well as the stock brands that are active per farm to their nearest state veterinarian office as soon as possible.
“The intention is to bring the data on Namlits up to date to improve the usability of the system,” the statement says.
