FNB Namibia’s People Pillar Survey (PPS) started this week and will run for two weeks.
The survey gives all FNB employees a chance to help shape FNB as their workplace.
Andrew Kanime, Head of HR said: “This survey is used to measure how engaged our employees think and feel about being employed by FNB or their willingness to work and stay with FNB.
FNB had its first PPS in 2010. In 2013 the bank’s engagement score was 74% and this increased to 79% in 2014.
“This is indicative of the ongoing efforts that are being made to improve on our people management strategies.”
Kanime said when hiring top talent, the bank wants to make sure they are there for the long term. A conducive working environment is one of the best ways to increase employee retention. “And when you have a workforce that is engaged and content, you will soon find that your retention levels improve because employees want to stay in the company and the publicity spreads which results in more people wanting to work for you. This is the sort of thing that turns a good company into a great one.”
