LIBREVILLE – Elections in Gabon passed off peacefully on Sunday in legislative elections expected to see the oil-rich former French colony’s long-serving president retain a massive majority in parliament.
Polls closed promptly at 18:00 in the two largest cities, Libreville and Port-Gentil, despite delays in opening some polling stations in the morning.
