Geingob confident of Swapo win

PRESIDENT Hage Geingob on Saturday said victory was certain for Swapo in November’s regional and local authority elections.

Geingob said this in a social media post.

He said he and other party leaders gathered at Tsumeb on Saturday to introduce Swapo candidates who he said stand ready to take the party forward and to continue along the path of progress, growth and prosperity.

“I am confident that come November 25, 2020, you, the Swapo party members, supporters, sympathisers and peace-loving Namibians will ensure that they emerge victorious,” Geingob wrote.

This is despite criticism the party faces because of corruption and the skewed distribution of the country’s resources, among other issues, after 30 years in power in Namibia.
