Namibian actors expressed their condolences, saying the industry has lost an icon.
Former Generations actor Dalton Ashikoto said he was a follower of Ngubane’s work.
“Overall he was a dedicated and passionate actor. The industry has lost an icon.
"He will be missed. I watched and learned a lot from him.
"It’s unfortunate that he passed on. Even though I didn’t know him personally, he will be missed, ” Ashikoto said.
Award-winning actor Adriano Visagie said when an actor passes on, they leave behind not only memories, but a legacy too.
“It’s sad to hear of his passing, having played a character he rightfully owned and embodied on Generations . . . being able to see black people on TV being portrayed in a dignified manner has boosted my career.
"Having known that he has been struggling with his health for a while I think it’s imperative the creative industry, especially the Southern African Development Community, now more than ever take hands in collaboration," he said.
It has been reported by Sowetan Live that Ngubane spent much of his time in the past 10 years trying to raise awareness of kidney disease and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
