A girl (16) reportedly had to run for her life after kidnappers grabbed her and forced her into an unknown vehicle.

The incident happened on Saturday in the Hochland Park/Tauben Glen area of Windhoek at around 20h00.

According to police spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi, the girl was walking home from the shops.

“The suspects grabbed her from behind, covered her mouth so she wouldn’t scream, pulled her into a sedan and drove off while pushing her to the ground so she wouldn’t see where they were taking her.
“The victim managed to open the door and flee after the suspects disembarked,” said Shikwambi.

No arrests were made and police investigations continue.
