A total of 20 goals were scored in eight matches played on Friday in the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Skorpion Zinc Under-17 Cup in Grootfontein.
The youth competition started Friday and ends Monday at the Omulunga Stadium.
In the opening matches of the tournament, Hardap beat Oshana 1-0, with the second game seeing host region Otjozondjupa thrash Kavango East 4-0.
Other games on the day saw Ohangwena and Omaheke in a goalless draw and Kavango East beat Oshikoto 3-1.
Match five of the competition saw //Kharas causing an upset when they beat Khomas 1-0, while defending champions Omusati started off their campaign on a good note beating Zambezi 2-0.
Kavango East redeemed themselves in match seven, beating Hardap 2-1.
Kunene and Otjozondjupa played match eight of the competition, with the host region booking their way to the next round of the competition with a 1-0 win.
The last match of the day saw Oshikoto and Ohangwena drawing 2-2. – Nampa
