A Namibian rhythmic gymnastics team of seven gymnasts and two coaches participated at the 18th Africa Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Rwanda from 22 April to 27 April.
A total of 13 African countries participated at the championships. In the junior section, Peya Kashaka came ninth overall, Kayla Ducha finished in 11th place and Faiza Hamutenya came 16th overall out of 19 competitors.
In the senior section Emilia Ekandjo came 17th overall, Joy Kabooy came 18th, Kenandjo Mupia 24th, and Ngatangue Hambeka 26th place out of 34 participants.
Egypt and South Africa dominated the top places in juniors and senior categories, but valuable experience was gained by the Namibian team.
