NAMIBIA has recorded 240 new novel coronavirus infections, 136 recoveries and no deaths linked to the virus, health minister Kalumbi Shangula said on Thursday.
“Among the confirmed cases are 93 pupils, 52 of whom are from Uukulo Senior Secondary School (SSS) in Omuthiya district, 16 from Onesi Senior Secondary School in Tsandi district and the rest from different schools,” Shangula added.
Of the 1 702 active cases, 104 patients are admitted in hospital with 11 in intensive care.
