Namibia’s World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight champion Paulus ‘The Hitman’ Moses (below) will travel to the Erongo Region this weekend to parade and show his belt to the residents of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.

Boxing promoter and manager Nestor Tobias said they will arrive at Walvis Bay Airport at 11h30 on Friday to meet Walvis Bay Mayor Uilika Nambahu, Regional Councillor John Nangolo and town councillors.
Moses’s entourage will then travel to Swakopmund where they will pay a courtesy call on Erongo Governor Samuel Nuuyoma, Swakopmund Mayor Germina Shitaleni and town councillors.
At 15h00, they will be in Walvis Bay and drive through the streets of Kuisebmond and Narraville. A meeting with the community will be held at the Kuisebmond Hall at 18h00.
On Saturday at 12h00in Swakopmund, the champion will drive in a fire truck from the town’s fire station through the streets of Swakopmund, Mondesa, Tamariskia and Vineta. A public meeting is scheduled at 16h30 at the Meduletu Hall.
Moses will visit most of the 13 political regions before resuming his training programme next month, according to Tobias. He is currently enjoying a month-long vacation.
