A large number of holidaymakers have flocked to Omuthiya’s natural springs, better known as Omuthiya springs.
The springs are on the outskirts of Omuthiya.
Many visitors to the site are from as far as Oshakati and the Ohangwena region.
Omuthiya Town Council spokesperson Otilie Shingenge on the council’s Facebook page says holidaymakers have been flocking to the springs since the beginning of the festive season.
“Most holidaymakers spent Christmas Day and Family Day at the springs creating fun memories with their families,” she says.
Omuthiya springs are considered a tourist attraction due to their socio-economic, cultural, health and spiritual value.
