I’m ready to lead, says Nandi-Ndaitwah

Swapo presidential candidate Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says she is the ideal person to lead the country.

Speaking at Swapo’s star rally at Walvis Bay on Saturday, she said she is an implementer who is not afraid to take risks.

She noted that her role in serving in different ministries and positions over the years is testament to the fact that she has always delivered and will continue to do so.

She urged Namibians to give her and Swapo a chance to continue working to better the lives of Namibians.

“We should not allow our revolution to be hijacked. I have grown up in this party and I know what is required in this country. I believe in hard work and unity of the Namibian people. We should not allow ourselves to be fooled,” she said.

Nandi-Ndaitwah further said Namibians are living in a fast-paced world.

“People are fighting for resources. Do not make a mistake that you will regret for the rest of your lives. Swapo is a party with a clear vision,” she added.

She urged Erongo voters to vote wisely so that capital resources in the region are well managed.

She also highlighted the importance of young and old working together and noted that leaders like prime minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila and information and communication technology minister Emma Theofelus have proven themselves.

She appealed to Namibians to welcome young appointees like Fenny Tutjavi (22), who made history this week by being the youngest candidate on Nandi-Ndaitwah’s top 10 Swapo National Assembly list.
