Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) spokesperson Shoki Kandjimi is inviting sponsors to join the eighth national ICT summit.

Kandjimi announced this in a statement released yesterday.

The ministry is planning to host a sponsorship breakfast at FÜrstenhof Protea Hotel on 6 June to provide potential sponsors with an overview of the available sponsorship packages.

“The packages include ‘Platinum’ (main sponsor) for N$110 000, ‘Gold’ for N$70 000, ‘Diamond’ for N$50 000, and ‘Silver’ for N$30 000,” Kandjimi said.

He invited sponsors to contribute to the advancement of Namibia’s ICT sector.

“The summit is slated to take place from 9 to 11 September. It serves as a platform for industry leaders and players to exchange insights and shape the trajectory of the ICT sector,” he said.

This year’s summit promises “unparalleled value, offering engaging discussions, interactive sessions, and ample networking opportunities”, he said..

The seventh national ICT summit was held in Windhoek last October under the theme ‘Rethinking Cybersecurity Investment to Secure the Digital Economy and its Opportunities’. The summit aims to create a platform for the ICT sector to discuss the trends and challenges facing the industry globally and in the country.

Furthermore, it aims to encourage ICT industry players to showcase their solutions, as well as to expose the youth to the latest ICT trends.
