ARLANA SHIKONGOPRESIDENT Hage Geingob has appointed Elia Kaulifewangali Irimari as the new governor of the Oshana region.
Press secretary Alfredo Hengari confirmed Irimari’s five year appointment to The Namibian on Tuesday. He said the appointment is effective from 18 March 2019 to 18 March 2024.
Irimari was previously the Ondangwa urban councillor in the Oshana Regional Council.
He succeeds previous governor Clemens Kashuupulwa who was appointed ambassador to Russia in November 2018.
