Non-performing State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) have been warned of the harsh realities of being reformed if the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) wins the elections.
Announcing his party manifesto in Windhoek on Saturday, Itula said the era of wasteful parastatals will be a thing of the past in his government.
He said the money can be better used in health care, education, and employment creation.
“Transparency and efficiency in our public hospitals must be improved. We shall also improve health delivery and introduce accountability of health practitioners,” Itula said.
He said they would launch a national programme to formalise informal areas.
He promised a revolving small loan scheme subsidised by the government to improve access to land.
Additionally, Itula has promised to implement laws to curb corruption.
