Jaguars beat Namibia

THE Namibia Invitational rugby team suffered yet another blow when they went down by 19 -7 to Argentina on Friday.

In their first match on May 8 in Argentina, the southern African country was hammered 62-7.
The Namibia Rugby Union (NRU)’s chief executive officer Christo Alexander confirmed the scoreline to Nampa yesterday.
The team is expected back home today.
The team used the Argentinian tour as preparation for their International Rugby Board (IRB) World Cup qualifier against the Ivory Coast on June 13 in Abidjan.
The home encounter will be at the Hage Geingob Stadium on June 27.
Meanwhile, Alexander said tickets for the South African Springboks’ match against their Namibian counterparts are being sold at all Mobile Telecommunication Limited (MTC) outlets in the capital only.
He said a ticket for the open stand goes for N$150, while for the main stand, spectators will fork out N$250 each.
The match is scheduled for May 29 at the Hage Geingob Stadium, and kicks off at 18h00.
