‘Just Freeda’ coming soon

LOCAL music sensation, Freeda Haindaka, simply known as Freeda, is set to drop her first solo album titled ‘Just Freeda’. The debut album will be released towards the end of this week or early next week.

The songbird said that the 18 track album, which took her roughly five months to complete, comes as a symbol of turning over a new leaf and starting not only a whole new chapter but a whole new tale of her solo music career.

She added that she titled the album ‘Just Freeda’ to put emphasis on the fact that she now is a solo artist, especially because the media has been referring to her as former a Gal Level member.

“We do not have a date set yet but we will have a media launch of the album definitely before the end of this month. My manager first wanted the album here and everything in line before we do the launch, but there will be one,” Freeda said.

With her debut solo single out and receiving a lot of airplay on radio, ‘This Whole Love Thing’, has shown Freeda that her fans are enthusiastic over her Afro-Pop work.

“People are excited and ask me when the album is coming. There is so much excitement and interest and I can promise a lot of good songs,” she said.

Freeda will also release her first solo video during the media launch of her album. She said that because her first single was ‘This Whole Love Thing’, it only makes sense to have the first video of that song.

“We have not yet shot the video because we are waiting for the CDs to get here but we are ready, set and on standby with outfits, choreography and a cameraman ready for action,” Freeda said.

Meanwhile, the songstress will have various shows, starting with two on Friday, as part of her efforts to promote the album.

“I have two shows on Friday and others to come. December is very busy so we will also be busy,” she said.
