Kavari resigns from Airports company

The Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Airports Company, Vemunjengua Kavari, has tendered his resignation, which will become effective at the end of February. Kavari cited personal reasons, according to the company’s Board Chairman Engelhard Haihambo.

In a short announcement yesterday, Haihambo said: ‘His decision, even if it is for personal reasons, is regretted. Kavari played a major role in stabilising the company and establishing a strategic direction by implementing a strategic plan’. The Namibia Airports Company will immediately start searching for a new CEO so that proper leadership continuity can be guaranteed, he said.
